Strike it lucky! Public reacts favourably to TV presenter Michael Barrymore’s #LifeStories interview

Michael Barrymore was arguably the most popular TV presenter in the UK in the late 1980s and 1990s but all that changed in 2001.

The star of “Strike it Lucky” and Barrymore’s My Kind of People, Michael found himself out of work, divorced and trying to clear his name of the horrific death of 31-yr-old Stuart Lubbock who was found dead in Barrymore’s swimming pool in 2001.

He was on the front page of every newspaper for months between announcing he was gay, divorcing his beloved wife Cheryl and his numerous arrests.

Besides the very odd TV appearance over the past decade, Barrymore remained anonymous until his Life Stories interview with Piers Morgan at the weekend where he spoke about his entire life.

The interview went into fine detail in relation to Barrymore’s personal life, including the tragic death of Lubboch.

However it appears as though it was a success for the 67-yr-old as social media users reacted very favourably to the the show, posting positive comments about it including wanting Barrymore to do a new “Strike it lucky” show.
