Sunshine and showers during the Bank Holiday weekend will give way to an unsettled week, with the possibility of thunder and more rain




The weather is expected to remain rather unsettled during the Bank Holiday weekend, with a combination of sunshine and showers.

Saturday evening is likely to be rather wet, particularly across western areas, with temperatures reaching about 18C.

Sunday will be a windy but mostly dry day, with temperatures hovering at about 17-18C.

Monday is expected to see periods of sunshine mixed with showers, with temperatures sinking back to about 14-15C.

Early indications are for an unsettled weather pattern lasting most of the week, with the possibility of heavy showers, thunder, and below-average temperatures.
