The Superman children’s comic franchise, DC Comics has announced that the new Superman, (son of Kent Clarke and Lois Lane) will start a relationship with another man. The comic will be published next month.
And for fear that Superman isn’t woke enough, he will no longer be fighting evil criminals looking to take over the world, this gay superman will be fighting climate change and illegal immigrant deportations (another facepalm moment).
According to the New York Times, “The idea of replacing Clark Kent with another straight white saviour felt like a missed opportunity,” Tom Taylor, who writes the series, said in an interview. He said that a “new Superman had to have new fights — real world problems — that he could stand up to as one of the most powerful people in the world.”
