A swarm of deadly Asian hornets is currently buzzing its way to Ireland, prompting fears of deadly attacks around the country.
The hornets pack a powerful punch, and can deliver enough venom to cause anaphylactic shock in susceptible individuals. The breed has been involved in the deaths of five people in France already.
They also poses a major threat to bees, as one single swarm can destroy an entire hive in a matter of hours.
Citizens are advised to avoid contact and report any sightings.
