The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has confirmed that the current face mask mandate will end on February 28th.
In an announcement the Taoiseach said the matter of compulsory mask wearing in public settings will end following recommendations from NPHET.
However although the mandatory mask wearing system will end, the Taoiseach said that people can still choose to wear masks in public settings if they wish to do so.
