A Dublin taxi driver has been hospitalised after he was allegedly assaulted in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
It is understood the man was attacked after he picked up a male passenger at the Ballybough crossroad on the North Circular Road, at approximately 2:30am on Wednesday morning.
GardaĆ say the driver was rushed to hospital a short time later after the vehicle he was driving collided with a wall on the Beaumont Road.
It is understood the man’s injuries are not life-threatening.
GardaĆ adedd that a man aged in his 20s was arrested and has since been released from custody.
