The Department of Health declared that 6 people died from coronavirus on Thursday evening and a jump of 23 more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.
In an announcement, the Department confirmed that there are currently 25,565 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 1,744 deaths.
It has since been confirmed that all 23 new cases are people aged under 45 with the HSE advising people to remain cautious and to adhere to all the guidelines they provide.
