The Big Freeze 2016: Weatherman predicts worst winter in years for the UK and Ireland

The rising of the Black Moon is an ominous sign of things to come.

Now, a leading weatherman has predicted that winter 2016 will be the worst in years for the UK and Ireland, with severe snowfalls lasting well into February.

James Madden, a weather forecaster for Exacta Weather, has predicted that the cold onslaught will begin in November, with heavy and persistent snow and rain soon following.

Mr. Madden bases his predictions on a phenomenon called Arctic Oscillation, whose patterns affect the weather in the Northern Hemisphere.

This phenomenon is expected to enter into its negative phase over the next few weeks, potentially causing adverse and extreme weather conditions.

Negative Arctic Oscillations have coincided with major weather events over the past century, but it is not an exact science, and a heightened chance of an extreme event is no indicator that it will actually happen.
