Storm Imogen brought hurricane-strength winds and gigantic waves, and though it’s currently moving away from Ireland, a deep freeze is set to grip the country in an icy vice over the coming days.
Met Eireann has tonight warned that daytime temperatures will sink to between 4-8C from tomorrow on, with frosty nights and icy conditions overall.
Come Thursday, the thermometer will hover at around 3-7C during the day, with colder nights expected to bring about ice formation and thus dangerous driving conditions.
