There is disappointing news for Star Wars fans, as the release of Episode VIII has been pushed back from its originally scheduled date of May 26, 2017, to December 15, 2017.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has smashed all box office records since its release. It has now become the highest grossing movie in American cinema history, toppling the previous chart-topper, Avatar.
In fact, Episode VIII will go head to head with Avatar’s highly anticipated sequel, which will be released just seven days after the new Star Wars movie.
