People are absolutely furious at what they’re describing as the government selling out the people of Ireland last night when the Dail’s vote on the EU Migration Pact passed 79 to 73.
The vast majority of people on social media are saying that it should have gone before the people in a referendum but that the government was too afraid to do so.
What happens next is anyone’s guess. Some fear it will drive migration into the country, while the government says it will control it.
