A man has been taken into custody following an alleged assault on another man in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred on South Great George’s Street shortly after 12.30am, reports Breaking News.
A man in his 20s was detained at the scene and is currently being questioned at a Garda station in Dublin.
The injured man, aged in his 50s, was taken to St James’s Hospital to receive treatment for injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening, reports Breaking News.
Gardaà said that investigations into the incident are continuing.
