Hundreds of disgruntled mostorists descended on Dublin today to protest against the rising costs of motor insurance premiums.
Among the large crowd of protestors there were representatives from groups including Age Action Ireland, the Union of Students of Ireland and the Irish Rural Link.
Although the protests which were held in attempt to highlight what they call an unfair rip-off went off without any incident many did voice their anger about the rising cost.
The large scale protest comes in the wake of spiralling costs enforced on motorists by companies in the past couple of years which has now seen the average driver paying in excess of €500 on their annual insurance premium.
