“They can keep him” – Ryan Tubridy looks likely to make move to the UK

Ryan Tubridy has indicated he will head to the UK after a busy week filled with important meetings in London, reports The Mirror.

Following his dramatic departure from RTE last month, the former Late Late Show host has been hinting at where he’ll be heading next – and fuelled rumours this week that a move to the British broadcaster is likely.

Before returning home to Ireland today, he continued to tease fans with the prospect, of a video from London’s Underground station.

In the video, he is seen walking off the escalator, saying: “The situation has escalated! But it’s time to go home…for now”, reports The Mirror.

It comes after a busy few days in the city for the Dubliner, where he visited some of the UK’s biggest broadcast studios and presenters, including Piers Morgan and Chris Evans.

Over the past few days, Ryan has begun to hint that he may be heading overseas after a few days in London, where he has visited some of the UK’s most famous presenters – the latest on the list being Chris Evans.

Mr Tubridy said his return to radio caused a stir after returning to the airwaves to speak with his old pal Evans on his Wednesday breakfast show.

Sharing a picture from the Virgin Radio UK studios, he said: “What a buzz it was to be on air again with the human dynamo that is Chris Evans. Love him,” reports The Mirror.

There’s still no official word on what’s next for the former Late Late Show host following his departure from RTE in June, but speculation is growing that he could be heading overseas.

Adding fuel to the fire while chatting with him live on air, Evans joked that he could be sitting next to him at a British radio station, welcoming him to the show by saying: “When do you start?” “Tuesday, half 10, who knows.” Ryan laughed.

An impromptu interview was conducted at the end of the show when Evans said he would try to hire her once she was in the building.

Introducing him as “an absolute legend in Irish broadcasting”, old pal Evans hinted at it, and then Tobbs was off to London for his next gig to “window shop”.

Evans mentioned the possibility of the Irish presenter joining the station again before ending the chat jokingly saying: “Hi and bye Ryan, you are very welcome here. Don’t let him out. Lock the doors everybody. Sign him up,” reports The Mirror.
