Like a boxing rematch, seagulls have gone away, regrouped, drafted up a plan and are back on our streets with more venom in their veins than ever before!

The winged menace has returned, meaner, angrier, and hungrier than ever, and now the good people of Balbriggan in Co. Dublin find themselves under siege by a flock of out-of-control seagulls.

The birds are said to be targeting young children and the elderly, stealing their chips and pecking their ice cream during brazen daytime swoops.

A few years ago, an anti-seagull laser defence grid was proposed but never deployed, so the birds, emboldened by the lack of opposition, are making an example of the local human population.
