Toddler who tragically died in Roscommon strayed from holiday home when parents were asleep




An infant has died in County Roscommon when he was struck by a jeep.

According to the Irish Mirror, the tragedy happened on the road near Ballinagare in County Roscommon.  Gardai attending at the scene found that an infant had been hit by a jeep.  Emergency services did their best to save him but ultimately he was pronounced dead.

The little boy’s body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway and it is intended to carry out a post-mortem. Gardai have appealed for any witnesses to the accident to come forward, and have asked that they contact the Garda Station in Boyle, County Roscommon.

It’s believed that the toddler tragically wandered from the holiday home where his family was staying and his parents were asleep.
