Gardaí in Co Carlow have confirmed that a body has been found in Borris.
It is understood the body was found after lunchtime today.
The search was launched on Wednesday evening after a car went into the water at Ballytiglea Bridge.
Gardai and rescue services stood down operations after the body was discovered this afternoon.
