There was some sad news announced late last night as Gardaí have confirmed the body of a man has been recovered from the base of a cliff in Co Clare.
It is understood the alarm was raised at approximately 5.10pm yesterday evening when the Irish Coast Guard was alerted that a person had fallen from the Cliffs of Moher at Aill Na Searrach.
Reports say the entire recovery operation lasted for over four hours and the body was recovered to the cliff top at around 9.15pm.
Gardaí say a post mortem examination will take place at University Hospital Limerick today.
