Gardaí in Co Limerick have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 50s has died following a road traffic incident this evening.
It is understood the man a motorcyclist was killed when he and another motorcyclist collided with a van on the N24 just outside Dromkeen.
Gardaí say the other motorcyclist was taken hospital with injuries that are thought to be non-life threatening.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
