A couple and their four children were caught in an enormous house fire at 2:20am this morning in Manchester, UK in what police have described as a “tragic accident”
Four children aged between 10 and 17 are in a very serious condition in hospital after the blaze, but their parents died in the fire, authorities have said.
Neighbour Emily Puckering said she was woken by screams and saw thick black smoke coming out of the house.
A neighbour of the family told Sky News: “I could hear the woman screaming at one point. She kept shouting ‘save the house’.
“The thing I remember was the popping of the windows expanding from the heat.
“More people shouting made me a bit more concerned as to what was happening.
“A police officer came and spoke to us about an hour after. He told us children were injured from falling from the window.”
