Authorities in the US have sadly confirmed that three children have died after they became trapped inside a chest freezer.
According to reports in the US, the three young children aged one, four and six suffocated inside the household appliance which was left outside a house in Suwanee County, Florida.
It is believed the three children climbed into the appliance whilst their babsitter went inside to use the bathroom.
After the woman came back she found the three children one of which was her own, locked inside the freezer after frantic search.
Police investigating the incident say they believe the three children became trapped when it locked via hasp once the lid closed on top of them.
They added that a hasp was installed on the freezer in order for a padlock to be fitted.
