A young girl has died after being struck by a van in Newry on Sunday night.
Kourtney Khloe McCormick died in hospital after she was knocked down in the Springfarm Heights area at around 9.25pm, reports RTE.
She had recently celebrated her sixth birthday.
A 40-yr-old woman who was driving the van, a black Ford Tourneo, was arrested at the scene, reports RTE.
She has since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
Police appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident to come forward and contact them, reports RTE.
