Tributes paid after man dies and woman seriously injured following multiple vehicle crash in Limerick




A man in his 40s has died and a woman in her 30s was seriously injured following a two-car crash in Limerick on Thursday morning, reports The Mirror.

The incident took place at around 7.25am on the N20 near Ballyouragan, Croom, and involved two vehicles.

A male driver, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services, reports The Mirror.

A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are considered serious. There were no other injuries reported from the scene.

The road was closed Thursday morning to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out a technical assessment. Diversions have been put in place locally, reports The Mirror.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

Motorists with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were in the vicinity between 7am and 7.30am are being urged to share the material with investigating officers, reports The Mirror.
