Tributes paid to man aged in his 70s who sadly died in Co Clare house fire




A man in his 70s has died following a house fire in County Clare during the early hours of this morning, reports RTE.

Emergency crews were called at approximately 3:30 a.m Wednesday morning after reports of a blaze at a residence in Moymore, roughly 5km south of Lahinch.

Responding to the scene were Clare County Fire and Rescue Service units from the Ennistymon station, along with paramedics from the National Ambulance Service and members of the gardaí, reports RTE.

Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control.

The man was declared dead at the scene, reports RTE.

The County Coroner has been informed, and the man’s remains will be taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.

A technical investigation will be conducted at the scene to determine the origin of the fire, reports RTE.
