Two nationwide Status Yellow weather warnings are in place amidst horrendous conditions.
A Status Yellow wind warning is in place for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, and Galway until 5pm.
And another warning is in place for the whole of Leinster, plus counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford until 8pm.
Many areas around these counties will experience heavy rain and very strong winds of up to 110km/h at times.
