UK heatwave sees at least six dead as thousands make their way to beaches




The UK is currently experiencing a major heatwave as it gets the brunt end of Europe’s extreme heat.

Tragically, along with the amazing sunshine and heat comes tragedy as at least six people are dead from various heatwave-related accidents, including climbing accidents and drownings.

A 30-yr-old man is the latest victim after he was pulled from the River Clyde along with a 63-yr-old man being pulled from the water near Yaverland in the Isle of Wight.

Authorities have warned people to be careful and to not take any risks in the sunshine. Tragically in Ireland, 14-yr-old Drogheda girl Jill Amante drowned on Friday afternoon in Termonfeckin, Co. Louth.
