A superyacht reportedly linked to Vladimir Putin has been seized in Italy as it was about to sail away.
The Scheherazade had been in dry dock in the port of Marina di Carrara since September.
It is understood that recent activity in the yacht appeared to indicate preparations for departure, so Italian authorities boarded and seized the vessel before it could escape.
Billions in assets linked to Russia have been seized worldwide since the country invaded Ukraine. Many people are now lobbying to sell those assets off to pay for the rebuilding of Ukraine.
