The Ukrainian state will collapse within two weeks, according to a prominent security analyst.
Former soldier Declan Power was speaking to RTE News and said the government would become a “a government in exile”, adding that a brief lull will follow, before an “insurgency war starts and that insurgency war will be supported by the West”.
Speaking to RTÉ News: Power said: “I think what’s going to happen, it gives me no pleasure to say this, is that the state of Ukraine will collapse within about a fortnight, if not less.”
Talks between Ukrainian and Russian officials continue on the Belarusian-Polish border, but so far they appear to be empty.
