The United States have demanded that China closes its Houston consulate as hostilities between the Asian superpower and Western countries continue to escalate.

According to the editor of Beijing’s Global Times newspaper, the US have given China 72 hours to shut down its diplomatic outpost in the Texan city.
The dramatic move comes amidst claims that state sponsored Chinese hackers have been trying to steal research into Covid-19 vaccines from American scientists.

Meanwhile in the UK, former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith has called for ‘an alliance of the free world’ to stand against China’s increasingly authoritarian
regime.

Writing in the Telegraph, he claims that the country poses a ‘far greater threat’ than Russia, describing the leading Communist party as ‘all-powerful
at home and aggressive abroad’.

China has recently drawn criticism on the world stage for its brutal attacks on the freedom of Hong Kong, ethnic cleansing of minority groups, and expansionist military tactics in the South China Sea.

One can only hope that when the general public’s futy at ‘historical oppression’ abates, it will be focused on the extremely dangerous rogue Chinese government.
