The much hated, ‘interim’ Universal Social Charge (USC) will be removed for low-income workers under party promises, if Fine Gael are re-elected.
However, though the USC may go for a large sector of workers, the PRSI’s entry point will be lowered to just €13,000.
These changes will be somewhat offset by the restoration of dental treatment benefits and the extension of maternity leave.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny is expected to dissolve the current Dáil today, ahead of the electoral campaign kick off.
