Alright then. We mightn’t be on each other’s Christmas card list this year, but Brooks is still one of the good ones… During a concert in Minneapolis over the weekend, Brooks saw 46-yr-old Teresa Shaw holding a sign which read:

“Chemo This Morning, Garth Tonight, Enjoying ‘The Dance”

Teresa’s 16-yr-old daughter Elizabeth watched as her mother jumped up and down with the sign. Garth saw her sign, patted his chest and winked at the lady.

Then the singer asked an usher to bring the woman up to him at the stage. They sang together, Brooks then kissed the lady, unstrapped his guitar and presented her with it.

As her tears flowed, they hugged. Brooks lost both mother and sister to cancer, gave her a kiss and said, “I love you and my strength is with you to get through this.”

He went on to say to the crowd “if you ever needed to know if God exists… well God just put His hand down on us tonight”.

Come back Garth, all is forgiven! What a legend.
