Two women aged in their 20s and a young boy aged 10 needed emergency medical attention in the aftermath of a violent burglary in Cork overnight.
The incident happened inside a house in the Glanmire Road area of Mayfield, Cork, on Monday night.
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the burglary.
The victims’ injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
