Virgin Atlantic has announced intentions to cut an extra 1,150 jobs, despite recently securing a £1.2bn rescue package to help the company survive through the pandemic.
The airline recently cut 3,150 roles and announced the closure of its base at London’s Gatwick Airport.
Virgin Atlantic will now engage in a consultation process with unions and staff.
