Visitor restrictions put in place at University Hospital Limerick following bug outbreak




University Hospital Limerick have confirmed that a number of visitor restrictions have been put in place following a stomach outbreak.

It is understood the restrictions have been put in place after 14 patients experienced vomiting and diarrhoea at the hospital.

Following the outbreak management said one ward has been closed off from visitors whilst the rest of the hospital remains under a one visitor per patient system.

The public have also been advised to take extra precautions and make they wash their hands whilst visiting the hospital.
