
There reports this evening stating that a man from Co Waterford is in critical condition in hospital after he was pulled into the sea whilst fishing.
It is understood that the man was fishing along the coastline this afternoon and was swept into the water near Annestown, between Tramore and Dungarvan. The man was rescued by emergency services after they received a call alerting them to the incident which happened at approximately 1pm this afternoon.
The man was flown by the emergency helicopter to Waterford Airport where he was quickly taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford.
