The family of a young County Wexford woman who died in March 2021 say some people are “degrading her memory” by using her death to say that she died from the vaccine.
22-yr-old Nicole Cahill, from Enniscorthy in Co Wexford, had suffered with health problems since she was child.
Nicole’s family say that she did not die as a result of receiving a Covid-19 vaccine, but claims that “anti-vax” campaigners have been using her image to further their cause on social media.
Debra Cahill told RTÉ’s Liveline that her sister’s face is being “splashed across social media” against the family’s wishes.
“Nicole should be remembered for the bubbly person she was,” Debra said, adding that her sister did not die as a result of a Covid-19 vaccine.
“We as a family don’t want her photo posted everywhere … anyone that wants to degrade her memory is sick and shouldn’t be doing it.”
She told RTE News that although the family hadn’t receieved the coroner’s report, they knew that she hadn’t died from the vaccine.
“At the end of the day, Nicole passed away and we have to grieve her loss. She didn’t die from the vaccine.
“Leave the girl to rest in peace and be remembered in the way we want her to be remembered.”
