Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that a woman who crashed into the gates of Government buildings has been released from custody without charge.
In announcement made on Tuesday evening, Gardai confirmed that the woman aged in her 50s was released following the incident which occurred at approximately 10am on Tuesday morning.
It is understood the woman crashed her Nissan Micra car into the gates on Merrion Street.
Although no one was injured in the incident, Gardai quickly arrived at the scene and brought the woman in for questioning.
Gardaí say a file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
