Gardai have confirmed that a woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 3-year-old child in Dublin on Monday.
The child was found dead inside an apartment at Poddle Park in Kimmage, Dublin. His mother was found with serious stab injuries and was rushed to hospital. It is understood she has now recovered from surgery.
The woman is being held at Crumlin Garda Station, where she is being questioned in relation to the incident.
