Flying to the United States with the Irish national carrier is soon set to be that much cheaper, with fares starting at €169 each way.
There will be some caveats, however. The new price structure will be divided into ‘Saver Fare’ and ‘Smart Fare’. Those wanting to save a few euro might want to choose the former, but they will only be allowed to bring hand luggage on board, have access to meals, and in-flight entertainment. Any goodies like blankets, checked baggage, and seat selection will come at a premium.
Those who would like to avail of such niceties as standard will have to choose the ‘Smart Fare’, which starts at the usual €209.
So choose wisely.
