A young British man who traveled to Syria to join ISIS has been stripped of his UK citizenship.

The Home Office confirmed that 24-year-old Jack Letts, nicknamed ‘Jihadi Jack’ is no longer a British citizen.

Letts held dual citizenship through his Canadian father. He converted to Islam at the age of 16 and vowed to join the ISIS caliphate after becoming radicalized. It is understood that he even married in Iraq.

Letts remains imprisoned abroad after he was caught attempting to flee to Turkey when ISIS was defeated. He has now said that ‘he feels British’ and wants to ‘come home’, but the British Government has other ideas.

The case bears striking similarities to that of the so-called ‘ISIS bride’ Lisa Smith, with the marked difference that the Irish Government if tripping over itself in a scramble to bring Ms. Smith and her daughter back to Ireland.

Why do you think the Irish Government is so adamant to bring the ISIS Bride Lisa Smith home? Let us know in the comments below.
