A young man has died after jumping into the River Thames in an attempt to avoid arrest.
Officers were in the process of handcuffing a 24-year-old male when he suddenly broke free and jumped into the river. His body was found shortly afterwards.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest is now underway.
