Young people won’t be fully vaccinated until October or possibly November

The HSE’s Chief Clinical Officer Dr Colm Henry has said that young people across the country won’t be fully vaccinated until October or November.

Speaking to RTE this afternoon Dr Henry said it will be most likely that people aged in their 20s will be given the opportunity to register for their vaccine until late August or early September.

Henry told RTE that those aged in their 30s will receive their vaccine throughout July and August and those aged 35 and above will be allowed to register for their vaccine next week.

He added that the timeline is subject to change depending on supply.

Ireland is expected to receive approximately 200,000 doses each week from July.
