After a spate of violent crimes, including muggings and unprovoked animalistic attacks on people in the Dublin 15 area by gangs made up of mostly under age youths, the Gardaí have announced that they are dedicating extra attention to the Clonee/Ongar areas.

Blanchardstown Garda Station has announced that two suspects have already been brought before the courts and further arrests will shortly be made. The Gardaí are also increasing their presence in the area and continuing to liaise with the local community.

The areas are some of the most ethnically diverse areas in Ireland, however high unemployment and gang-culture has taken a strong hold and some residents are fearful that this is just the beginning of a problem which will only progressively become much worse.

Bizarrely, locals claim that these gangs seem to have a fixation with American gang culture that has warped not only their manner of speaking but even their perception of reality.

Gardaí have appealed for more witnesses’ and victims to come forward.
