Gardaí in Co Limerick have launched an investigation after an elderly woman was disgracefully terrorised and robbed by three men at her Galbally home on Tuesday night.
It is understood the heartless thugs entered the elderly woman’s home at approximately 11pm on Tuesday night. Gardaí say one of the three men was wearing a mask. It is understood the thugs then demanded that the frightened pensioner handover her however it’s unclear how much they got away with.
According to a Garda source: “The gang held the distraught woman in the house until they left.” “The victim was not hurt.” Meanwhile Gardaí have since sent out a text alert to surrounding communities warning them of the incident and to be extra vigilant of any suspicious activity.
