A massive manhunt in Canada has finally ended as hundreds of officers searched for the surviving suspect in a string of mass murders.

Myles Sanderson, a 30-year-old convicted felon, remained at large, armed, dangerous and possibly injured, police has said until they held a press conferences to confirm he has been arrested.

His brother Damien Sanderson, 31, was found dead on a lawn on the James Smith Cree Nation of Saskatchewan, the indigenous community where most of the victims lived.

The brothers are believed to have left 10 dead and 18 wounded in one of the deadliest bombings in the country’s modern history.

However, at the of the press conference, police confirmed that Myles Sanderson was now also dead having had what they described as mental distress after being arrested.

They said he was rushed to hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later. Police went on to say that they may never know what the brothers did what they did over the past number of days.
