A 17-yr-old boy has sadly died in a crash in Co Monaghan overnight.
The single-vehicle accident happened at Carrickaderry, Clontibret around 1.30am on Wednesday morning.
The boy was driving the car and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at Monaghan General Hospital, where a post mortem will take place today.
Gardaà in Monaghan are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them on the confidential Line 1800-66-61-11.
