A nationally known photographer from Drogheda, Co Louth, Jimmy Weldon has sadly died aged 69.
According to the Drogheda Leader newspaper, Jimmy passed away on Holy Thursday morning in Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda following a short illness.
Jimmy is known the length and breath of the town having covered stories for some 40 years.
He was highly regarded by a gentleman by all.
No doubt his funeral will be one of the biggest in the vicinity for quite some time. No details are made available at this time.
