The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has managed to escape the fate that befell many leaders before him – he’s survived a confidence vote.
Johnson needed at least 180 Conservative MPs to stand with him, and in the end he managed to get far more than 200.
In theory, it now means that Johnson is safe for 12 months in the job, but as the saying goes – a week is a long time in politics.
