Britain’s Emma Raducanu has won the US Open in New York.
The 18-yr-old is the first qualifier in history after beating Leylah Fernandez of Canada in the women’s singles final on day thirteen of the 2021 U.S. Open tennis tournament at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The score 6/4 6/3 didn’t really represent the calibre of tennis the two teenagers produced.
Both girls gave great speeches at the end of the match and not just Emma, but both girls are the new faces of women’s tennis.
