Well known and well respected British politician Sir David Amess has been stabbed to death in his consistency office in Essex this afternoon.
The 69-yr-old father of five was stabbed while he met with public in his constituency.
It’s understood that police arrested a 25-yr-old man on suspicion of murder after the stabbing at a church in Leigh-on-Sea.
It’s understood that police recovered a knife and were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
